As part of the acceptable use policy of Science Street, you agree not to use the information, services, or any other part of the Science Street Lab platform to take any action or actions that would:
- Conflict with Science Street’s public image, goodwill, or reputation.
- Promote any illegal activity or content, including but not limited to child or animal abuse, violence, illegal drug use, or underage drinking.
- Infringe copyrights, patents, trademarks, trade secrets, or other intellectual property rights, or the rights of publicity or privacy of us or any other companies.
- Explicitly or implicitly share any of your data, activities, or purposes that we have approved, without our prior written consent in each case.
- Violate any applicable law, statute, decree, or regulation in the country, or encourage any conduct that may constitute a criminal offense or give rise to civil liability.
- Be defamatory, libelous, threatening, harassing, invasive of privacy, abusive, harmful, hateful, discriminatory, pornographic, or obscene.
- Send or disclose any trade secrets or other confidential or non-public information about any person, company, or entity without obtaining proper authorization.
- Restrict or prevent any other visitor from using the Science Street platform, including, without limitation, by “hacking,” defacing, or otherwise modifying any part of the Science Street Lab platform, or by modifying, altering, sublicensing, translating, selling, reverse-engineering, decompiling, or disassembling any part of it.
- Remove any copyright, trademark, or other proprietary rights notices contained on the Science Street Lab platform.
- Subcontract, sell, lease, rent, assign, transfer, or otherwise convey any rights under these terms to any third party, or commercially exploit or otherwise profit from the information or content of the Science Street Lab platform, or any part thereof, in any manner, except as expressly permitted herein.
- Print or copy any part of the Science Street Lab platform without our prior written permission.
- Distribute any virus, worm, Trojan horse, or any other harmful or malicious files, scripts, or programs.
- Interfere with or disrupt any services or equipment with the intent to cause an excessive or disproportionate load on the infrastructure of Science Street, its licensors, or its suppliers.
- Involve the preparation or distribution of spam, unsolicited messages, chain letters, pyramid schemes, or other bulk or unsolicited commercial email, or otherwise violate in any way the Controlling the Assault of Non-Solicited Pornography and Marketing Act of 2003 (CAN-SPAM Act) or any applicable foreign equivalent law.
- Use any robot, bot, spider, site search/retrieval application, or any other manual or automated device or process to retrieve, index, “data mine,” reproduce, or circumvent in any way the navigational structure, presentation, authentication, or security measures of the Science Street platform or its contents.
- Forge headers or identities, or otherwise manipulate identifiers in order to disguise the origin of any transmission.
- Perform any form of network monitoring, run a network analyzer, packet sniffer, or any other technology to intercept, decode, extract, or display any packets used in communications between Science Street’s platform servers, or any data not intended for you; scrape or collect information about any visitor or member of the Science Street platform without their express consent; and/or
- Contain any reference to or resemblance of any specific third parties, unless consent has been obtained from all such individuals and their parents or legal guardians if they are minors under applicable law.
